Once again I’ve entirely misjudged the amount of time between now and Christmas and will be partaking of my customary rush to think of and find presents for people, make visiting arrangements and generally organise myself into any sort of festive state.
But it seems remiss not to have a festive themed flash fiction prompt this time around, ushering in the festive spirit with some stories focussed on festive beasts and the season of giving. So, we’re going to revive the Halloween prompt format but this time we’ve got a character and a gift. Randomly pick one from each and write a story up to 500 words from the point of view of your chosen festive beast, including the gift somewhere in the tale. Maybe they were giving it, maybe they found it, maybe they interrupted the act of the gifting. It’s up to you!
